My little princess – my Captured Moment

This weeks Captured Moment is all about my little Princess Maya who turns 3 in a few days time!

This was her when she was 2 weeks old.

So many memories are coming back when I look at this picture! She was our first baby and it was such special time! We definitely had our ups and downs in those first two weeks – going through all emotions from overwhelmingly happy to completely exhausted – and absolutely terrified when she was spitting up blood at 5 days old!!

We rushed to the hospital immediately and they did all kinds of tests before they found out that I had a cracked nipple and hadn’t realised she was not only sucking milk… Can you imagine the horror when we saw her bringing up blood!!! Fortunately everything was absolutely fine (except for my breasts…)

She has grown from a cheeky, smiley baby to a very cheeky, happy and confident little girl! She takes really good care of her little brother Leo (ok, there is the occasional smack on head…) and makes us laugh so much! 

I love her Germanglish (Mummy, I don’t want to go schwimmen today!), her cheeky smile and how she engages complete strangers into really long conversations about her little brother Leo and random things she has been doing for the last few days (normally ending with, do you want to come to my house?)
