Initially I thought that it would be really hard to come up with things to write about every single day but I have to say that it’s actually getting easier! I’ve got lots of ideas for yoga tips, new series and of course stories about our family adventures!

While I’m busy working on these I thought it might be nice to mention some of the fantastic blog posts that I’ve come across this week. There are many more than 5 by the way but these ones stood out for me.

5 blog posts I enjoyed reading this week

1. Cheese & Chickpeas: Warm Aubergine & Lentil Salad

I made that salad last night and honestly it was absolutely delicious! Seriously, make sure you have a look at Lucy’s recipes. I want to make and eat them all!

2. Erin McGuigan’s What kind of mother am I

Such a beautifully written and inspiring post about her journey to becoming a birth and post natal Doula.

3. Story Storks Dear Little Ones who aren’t getting iContact

Sarah has just started writing this cute series which are open letter to babies & toddlers and what they can do to get their parents to read to them.

4. Mum Amie Was my mum a happier parent than me?

Really interesting blog posts and something that I had never thought about before! I love posts that just inspire you to think.

5. Honest Mum’s Presenting a piece for Sky News’ ‘Morning Stories’

This lady is in another league! Watch the vlog at the end of the blog post and you will see what I mean! We all need someone to look up to and in terms of bloggers that’s definitely her!

So until I get to the success of Honest Mum and start presenting yoga stories on TV I keep going with my blogging challenge! You can see some of my latest posts here.

  1. Hi Christine. Thank you for sharing my blog – I’m so glad you enjoyed the lentil and aubergine salad. This is a really good idea to do a blog roundup like this 🙂 Lucy x

  2. Thank you for sharing my blog! I’m really enjoying the 30 day blog challenge too – though finding it hard too. It’s great to discover new blogs too! I’m off to check out the other posts you mentioned x

  3. Hi Christine,
Thanks for sharing my blogpost! Good luck on your challenge. I aspire to write a proper blog one day and would love to hear of your experience with the challenge. Thanks also for posting the blog by honestmum. I hadn’t seen hers and enjoyed watching her piece on skynews. As a mum to a daughter, it was a great reminder of how women are still fighting for equality in the workplace. It reminded me of advice my wall street working older sister gave me when I was first starting out in the workplace, 25 years ago, to always ask for more, strive to be the best, work for what you deserve, and when it comes to negotiating salaries, always ask for £10,000 more than what they offered you, because you can bet your boots they wouldn’t have thought you’d ask for that, and more often than not, they’ll give you your asking price! (And yes, it always worked for me!) x

    1. Your very welcome! I thought it was a great post!
You are absolutely right. As women we very often undervalue ourselves! I think Honest Mum has it all figured out 🙂 xx
