Here are some tips on how to stay motivated and find inspiration for your daily yoga practice at home.

1. Commit to a time during the day. This might be first thing in the morning or before you go to bed in the evening or maybe 30 minutes at lunch time. Schedule it into your day and don't beat yourself up if you can't stick to it all the time.

2. Give yourself a little reward for every time you have finished your practice. It might be as simple as enjoying a cup of tea or just making that big cross on your calendar that you have completed it! Think sticker chart for adults 🙂 Honestly it helps!

3. Find an accountability partner or join a Facebook group! Exercise is always more fun when you have somebody who joins you or who cheers you on!

4. Create a practice that you enjoy! Take your favourite yoga poses and create a little plan or ask your yoga teacher to create a plan for you if you're not sure.

5. After every practice, write down how you feel. Take a few moments in meditation and mindfully observe the body, observing any positive changes and then making note of at least one.

6. Participate in a yoga challenge. If you're on Instagram search for @igyogachallenges and you will find loads! This can help you with some inspiration and just getting you started on the mat!

7. If you find it difficult to get a break from the family then get them to join in! Kids, dogs, cats - everyone will love it!

8. If you don't know what to practice have a look on YouTube. Watch a few videos and then decide what teacher you like.  I really like Yoga with Adrienne and Yoga with Kassandra but really the list is endless! Of course you can also check out my YouTube channel 🙂

9.  Have a practice place that is clutter free and that you enjoy being in. Make it as peaceful and enjoyable as you possibly can. A diffuser with your favourite essential oil could be nice, some nice flowers or candles (not if you practice with cats, dogs and kids though!)

10. Remember to listen to what your body needs every day. If you have had a stressful day it might just be practising Savasana!
