Chakras are energy centres in the body. They are aligned along the spine and when they are out of balance we can either have too much of that particular chakra energy or too little.<\/p>\n<p data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Today we are going to focus on the Root Chakra &#8211; Muladhara Chakra in Sanskrit. It is located at the base of the spine and is represented by the colour red. It is often considered to be the most important chakra that needs to be aligned in order to be able to work with any chakras that are located above.<\/p>\n<p data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Let&#8217;s think of it as the foundation of a house. If the foundation is unstable then the whole house will be unstable and probably eventually collapse. It&#8217;s the same with our foundation. This is feeling safe, feeling secure. Feeling connected. Trusting our bodies.<\/p>\n<p data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">If you feel like you&#8217;re daydreaming a lot but don&#8217;t actually get things done this could be a sign that you should work with the Muladhara Chakra.<\/p>\n<p data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Muladhara Chakra<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Colour: Red<\/li>\n<li data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Sound: LAM<\/li>\n<li data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Yoga Poses: e.g. Childs Pose, Downward Dog but really any poses when we focus on our connection with the ground<\/li>\n<li data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Mudra: Earth Mudra, ring finger and thumb<\/li>\n<li data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Yantra: Four Petal Lotus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love working with chakras in my classes. The third eye Chakra or Ajna Chakra is the seat of judgement, emotional intelligence and wisdom. It is your \"sixth sense\" that regulates the five lower Chakras:<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yogaberry.net\/staging\/3947\/muladhara-c\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"tve-froala\" style=\"outline: none;\">Root Chakra<\/a>\n<br><a class=\"tve-froala\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yogaberry.net\/staging\/3947\/the-sacral-chakra-or-swadhisthana-chakra\/\" style=\"outline: none;\">Sacral Chakra<\/a>\n<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yogaberry.net\/staging\/3947\/manipura-chakra\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"tve-froala\" style=\"outline: none;\">Solar Plexus Chakra<\/a>\n<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yogaberry.net\/staging\/3947\/heart-anahata-chakra\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"tve-froala\" style=\"outline: none;\">Heart Chakra<\/a><br>\u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yogaberry.net\/staging\/3947\/vishuddha-chakra\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"tve-froala\" style=\"outline: none;\">Throat Chakra <\/a><\/p><p>The Ajna Chakra is located in the mid-forehead, between the eyebrows and &nbsp;and governs your brain. When the energy is balanced we are creative, can think symbolically and literally and are not afraid to change our onions or viewpoints. &nbsp;This polarity is represented by the union of Siva (male energy) and Shakti (female energy). The Chakra is associated with an intuitive way of knowing.&nbsp;<\/p><\/div><div class=\"thrv_wrapper tve_image_caption\" data-css=\"tve-u-15e72b4d31f\" data-clear=\"both\"><span class=\"tve_image_frame\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yogaberry.net\/staging\/3947\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/third-eye-chakra.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img class=\"tve_image wp-image-4171\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" title=\"third eye chakra\" data-id=\"4171\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yogaberry.net\/staging\/3947\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/third-eye-chakra.png\" style=\"\" scale=\"0\" data-css=\"tve-u-16e842c8a00\"><\/a><\/span><\/div><div class=\"thrv_wrapper thrv_text_element tve_empty_dropzone\"><p>When the Third Eye Chakra is open and balanced we feel inspired and creative. We are able to see well physically and intuitively. If this Chakra is healthy it is said to balance the lower Chakras so many yogis suggest to start Chakra work with the Third Eye Chakra. <\/p><p>When Ajna energy is deficient or excessive we tend to be indecisive, forgetful or jump to conclusions too quickly. We might be suffering from migraines or even mental confusion.<\/p><p><span data-css=\"tve-u-15e72a65193\" style=\"font-size: 25px;\">Signs for Ajna imbalance:<\/span><\/p><ul class=\"\"><li class=\"\">You lack flexibility in thinking<\/li><li class=\"\">You constantly evaluate yourself<\/li><li class=\"\">You are too intellectual or detached from the world<\/li><li class=\"\">You have poor memory or tend to be foggy about details<\/li><li class=\"\">You fear new ideas and new experiences<\/li><\/ul><p class=\" class=\" \"\"=\"\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-15e72b97f1b\" style=\"font-size: 25px;\">Physical Signs<\/span><\/p><ul class=\"\"><li>headaches<\/li><li>poor eyes sight or other problems with the eyes<\/li><li>brain tumour or stroke in more extreme cases<\/li><li>epileptic seizures&nbsp;<\/li><li>nightmares, insomnia<\/li><\/ul><p><span data-css=\"tve-u-15e8fce76bb\" style=\"font-size: 25px;\">How to work with the Ajna Chakra<\/span><\/p><p>As the Third Eye Chakra controls your vision of the world it can be very beneficial to practice <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luciayoga.com\/what-to-consider-when-practicing-yoga-inversions\/\" target=\"_blank\">inversions<\/a> were we literally (and physically) change perspective. Working with Nadi Shodana (alternate nostril breathing) where we balance the right side and the left side of the body can also be very beneficial.
