Chakras are energy centres in the body. They are aligned along the spine and when they are out of balance we can either have too much of that particular chakra energy or too little.<\/p>\n<p data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Today we are going to focus on the Root Chakra &#8211; Muladhara Chakra in Sanskrit. It is located at the base of the spine and is represented by the colour red. It is often considered to be the most important chakra that needs to be aligned in order to be able to work with any chakras that are located above.<\/p>\n<p data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Let&#8217;s think of it as the foundation of a house. If the foundation is unstable then the whole house will be unstable and probably eventually collapse. It&#8217;s the same with our foundation. This is feeling safe, feeling secure. Feeling connected. Trusting our bodies.<\/p>\n<p data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">If you feel like you&#8217;re daydreaming a lot but don&#8217;t actually get things done this could be a sign that you should work with the Muladhara Chakra.<\/p>\n<p data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Muladhara Chakra<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Colour: Red<\/li>\n<li data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Sound: LAM<\/li>\n<li data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Yoga Poses: e.g. Childs Pose, Downward Dog but really any poses when we focus on our connection with the ground<\/li>\n<li data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Mudra: Earth Mudra, ring finger and thumb<\/li>\n<li data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">Yantra: Four Petal Lotus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love working with chakras in my classes. As you might remember Chakras are energy centres in the body and their flow of energy can influence us both on a physical and emotional level.&nbsp;<\/p><p data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">You can read up on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yogaberry.net\/staging\/3947\/muladhara-c\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Root Chakra<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yogaberry.net\/staging\/3947\/the-sacral-chakra-or-swadhisthana-chakra\/\">Sacral Chakra<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yogaberry.net\/staging\/3947\/manipura-chakra\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Solar Plexus Chakra<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yogaberry.net\/staging\/3947\/heart-anahata-chakra\/\" target=\"_blank\">Heart Chakra<\/a> here in case you've missed them.<\/p><p data-default=\"Enter your text here...\">The Vishuddha Chakra is located in the throat area and governs the neck, throat, vocal chords, tonsils and ears on a physical level. We can express ourselves with a vibrant and strong voice and also have the ability to listen! We are as comfortable with silence as we are with speaking. Sit in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Breathe in and on one long exhale make a humming sound. You will feel the vibrations around your face, sinuses and brain. Repeat for 4-6 times.
